In 2008, the newspaper reported that with a (circulation of over 1.14 million) it was certified by the Audit Bureau of Circulations ranking them as the third largest circulatory daily English Newspaper in India.

Indian Readership Survey (IRS) 2008, revealed that HT has a readership of (6.6 million) placing them as the second most-widely read English Newspaper in India after Times of India.

HT Mumbai has a daily lifestyle supplement (in tabloid format) called HT Cafe (32 pages). Five days a week HT Cafe devotes a pullout to niche subjects such as travel, health, automobiles, weekend, comics and gizmos. It has its Education supplement called 'Horizons' on Wednesdays; High-life and luxury supplement called Splurge and a Real Estates section called 'HT Estates'.
